We had a 7th birthday. Santa Came. We started sitting up. We visited Uncle Cameron and the family before Cameron left on his mission to South Carolina. We had a dance recital. We had a snow day. We started rolling over. We started Solids.
I asked J to go talk to E and entertain her while I finished getting ready for the day and this is what I got. He said that he gave her those so that she wouldn't be lonely. How Cute!
E is really starting to smile and awake more often. Although when she is awake it's a 50/50 chance if she is happy, with her GERD and all. It is getting better, that is something to be greatful for. We love it when she is a happy baby!
J started 1st grade, all day, he did wonderful, he is such a big boy. H started kindergarten, she did so good too. K wanted his picture take too! Our kids are getting so big and independent. They all love to do things themselves!
Our precious little E was born on July 21st at 7:36 weighing 8lb 8oz and 20 1/2in. Things are going well, the kids love kissing and hugging and holding and taking care of her. I am just trying to enjoy her being little because before I know it she will be going to school like J and H.
H & J are full of questions and concerns about when the baby will be here. A common question is "Is she coming tomorrow?" So we had to start a countdown for them. I am happy that they are excited and can't wait. I am ready too, at this point I would rather be sleep deprived then so uncomfortable. Needless to say all of us are ready.
We got 5 chickens for easter and slowly they are dying one by one. They understand that when you die you go to live with Heavenly Father and that we will be resurrected. So H asked if the cat was going to dye. I told her someday. She was then worried. She told me the cat would get the chickens! Boy how little kids minds think. J has asked a few times when the chickens will come back alive.
Brad took J & H to purchase a rocker/recliner for me to use when the baby is born. J was so excited when he got home he told me that they bought a receipt!!! They had to order the chair and gave us the receipt for pick up.
The other day we bought a chicken from the store and H asked if we killed the chicken. I told her that someone did and now we are going to eat it. I asked her if we should kill our chickens that we got for easter and eat them. "No!" "Why not?" I asked. She replied "Because we don't have a gun to shoot them and kill them!" If only she knew that we don't need a gun!
Brad and I have been married for 8 years today. I couldn't imagine being married to anyone better than him. He is a wonderful husband and Daddy to our children. Sure we have had our ups and downs but wouldn't want to go through those with anyone else. I love you Dear!!!
Over a month ago Brad had lost his keys we looked everywhere, went through everything and still no keys. J was going through a bucket of toys and he said "Here are some keys!" Brad and I turned and looked and sure enough there was Brad's keys he's been missing for a month maybe two. I thought Brad had looked through the toys and he said he did, but I guess not hard enough! What a relief though, to not have to go through the hassle of changing locks and what not since we had no idea where his house key was. Now we do, in Brad's pocket once again.
We got H's room painted and princess stickers up on the wall, her bed and dresser back in there now just to get the crib and changing table in there. Next is off to find a dresser. H is so excited, she said today "Daddy, Mommy, and I painted my room because I am going to share my room with my new baby sister!" I guess she didn't realize that we have been planning on painting her room for awhile, before I was even pregnant. It was cute still though.
H is so excited for her new baby sister to come. She asked me the other if I was taking good care of her baby sister in my tummy. Then she told me she would take good care of her when she came out of my tummy. It was so cute. We are getting ready to paint her room and to get things rearranged in there, she is so excited about that too. We will see if her excitement lasts long when she is woken up in the middle of the night. I am excited too, because I realized that I am almost down to single digit weeks, uncomfortableness has really begun to come upon me.
K did! Brad got out a couple of cookies, while he was eating one of them (the other was on the counter) K got down went into the kitchen and came back out so excited. He had Daddy's other cookie. What a look of excitement he had on his face. One of those moments that I wish I had my camera. Brad's look of surprise that he did that was a good one too.
Well, we are having a GIRL! H is so excited to have a roommate. She's been wanting J to sleep in her room a lot lately and when I tell her no, she gets a really sad look on her face and says she wants someone to sleep in her room with her. (We will see how long it is though until she wants her own room!)
